KLets and Google Places problem

Post by apollo76 » 30/08/2018, 17:37

Goodmorning everyone,

unfortunately Luca has stopped supporting his magnificent app and I do not know how to contact him to beg him to continue doing so (he created a wonderful application, the best one in circulation). Many would pay to have the app updated, me first.

Given his lack I ask you all if someone can intervene on the app with regard to the vocal search for places.

Google must have changed something about how to interface with its Google Places and practically now when you ask a place to KLets it always says you have not found any address.

I really hope there is someone of good will who can intervene

Thank you

Honestly I was hoping for a bigger participation, this app is really magnificent and I thought many people were using it.

I really hope to have the opportunity to talk with Luca to be able to compliment him for his app, Luca if you read the forum write me please !!

However, since i must make a virtue of necessity, although I am not a programmer, I have managed to understand where the problem is:

Google starting from 11 June 2018 requires the inclusion of an API key within each app to request the query to Google Maps or Places. In order to have KLets still working, it is therefore necessary to insert in the app this API key that can be requested through the Google Cloud Platform Console.

I hope someone appreciates the effort made.
